Overwhelming response to photography contest, says NTR Collector

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha said the administration has received an overwhelming response from the participants in the photography contest.

The Collector was checking the pictures submitted by the participants, which are on display at the government guest house in Vijayawada. The contest is being organised by the district administration in connection with the World Photography Day, celebrated on August 19. The Collector, impressed by the pictures, said the work reflects the talent of photographers.

According to a release from the administration on Saturday (August 9), winners have been selected in all the three categories and will be presented with awards on August 19. The themes of the first category were ‘Tourism in NTR district’, ‘Swachh Andhra/Swachh NTR’ and ‘Yogandhra’. The themes in the second were ‘Thalliki Vandanam/Education’, ‘NTR Bharosa Pensions’ and ‘Deepam-2’. The third section included best picture with a news point of view.

Cash awards for first, second and third prizes in each category are ₹10,000, ₹7,000 and ₹4,000 respectively. Consolation prizes of ₹2,000 each will be given to six people.
