Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha reviewed preparedness to deal with any situation arising out of the heavy rainfall, predicted by the IMD on Monday (August 11, 2025)
Ms. Anitha directed the Collectors, Superintendents of Police and the A.P. State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) officials to be alert and take steps to prevent human loss.
The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) gave heavy to very heavy rain fall prediction, accompanied by strong winds, to some districts in the State in the next 48 hours.
The Home Minister asked the Collectors and SPs to identify the calamity prone areas, caution the villagers and shift them, if necessary, to safer places.
Ms. Anitha instructed the officers to identify the vulnerable places, arrange caution boards, stay in the posted villages and monitor the situation round-the-clock.
