The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for five Telangana districts, along with an orange alert in nine districts and a yellow alert in five districts, for Wednesday (August 13, 2025).
Very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in 5 dists
In its latest bulletin, the IMD said the red alert, indicating the likelihood of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, has been issued for isolated places in Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Yadadri Bhongir districts.
Orange alert in nine dists
An orange alert, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall has been issued for Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Mulugu, Peddapalli and Siddipet districts.
A yellow alert, warning of heavy rainfall at isolated locations, has been issued for Adilabad, Jagtial, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial and Rajanna Sircilla districts.
Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur at isolated places across all 33 districts of Telangana, the bulletin said.
