JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Bhramara Trust, Mysuru, on Thursday conferred the inaugural ‘Sushruta Award’ on S.C. Nemichandra, a neurologist at JSS Hospital, in recognition of his outstanding service, exceptional skill, and compassionate patient care.

Instituted by the Bhramara Trust, the award honours medical professionals whose dedication goes beyond the call of duty, upholding the highest values of the medical profession.

K. Vijayaraghavan, a Fellow of the Royal Society and former Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, was present at the event as chief guest. H. Basavana Gowdappa, vice-chancellor, JSS AHER; R. Mahesh, director, Medical Education, JSS Mahavidyapeetha; and C.P. Madhu, director, JSS Hospital were the guests of honour at the occasion.

The hospital management lauded Dr. Nemichandra’s exemplary commitment to advancing neurological healthcare, which has positively impacted countless lives through knowledge, compassion, and selfless service.
