Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday inaugurated, through video-conferencing, the para sports facility within the Anna Sports Stadium complex on Race Course Road in Tiruchi.
Constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), the facility is designed to cater specifically to athletes with disabilities. The inclusive sports stadium features a para sports arena, an open air badminton court, play courts for sitting volleyball, table tennis, boccia, taekwondo, judo, goal ball, weightlifting, alongside an accessible gym, and wheelchair accessible toilets.
Collector V. Saravanan and Mayor M. Anbazhagan were present.
