A six-member team of students from the computer science engineering department of SRKR Engineering College at Bhimavaram bagged first prize in the “Vedic Vision 2K25”, a 24-hour hackathon, organised by the college management on Sunday. The winning team, comprising Chandrani Maheswari, Chintala Srikar, Gandham Bhaskar, B. Bhargavi Tejaswi, B. Ashok and S. Kalyam were given a cash prize of ₹15,000.

The ₹10,000-second prize was also won by students of the SRKR College, while the third prize (₹6,000) went to students from Aditya University. 53 teams drawn from eight colleges participated in the two-day event held on the college campus.

Addressing the students, college director M. Jagapathi Raju urged the students to think out of the box and gain an edge over others in this competitive era. College vice-president S.V. Ranga Raju, principal K.V. Murali Krishnam Raju, physical director P. Satyanarayana Raju and others were present.
