The new loop is expected to ease the flow of vehicles from K.R. Puram side, including Manyata tech park, via Outer Ring Road towards Mehkri Circle on Ballari Road.

However, this new loop may not end the traffic congestion in the area, but merely shift the location. Motorists are expecting the congestion to shift from the flyover to Mehkri Circle.

According to the officials of Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP), the flyover ramp was supposed to be ready by November 2024, but the deadline was then pushed to January, then May-June, and later, to August.
