Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam has announced that applications for the free mass Varalakshmi Vratham will be accepted from Monday at the toll-free counter located on the ground floor of the Maha Mandapam office.
As part of the auspicious Shravanamasa fifth Friday celebrations on August 22, 2025, the Varalakshmi Vratham will be held at Sri Mallikarjuna Maha Mandapam, 6th floor, in two sessions. The first session will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. with a participation fee of ₹1,500. Women participating in this session will be allowed darshan of Sri Ammavaru through the ₹300 special queue line after completion of the ritual.
The second session will be conducted as a free mass Varalakshmi Vratham from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on the same day. Applications for this free session are being accepted from 12 noon on Monday at the toll-free counter. Each application will be valid for one woman only, and applicants are required to present their white ration card at the time of registration.
Women participating in the free vratham will be provided with a prasadam kit, which includes kumkum (150 grams), a blouse piece, bangles, Sri Ammavaru prasadam, and a Shakti kankanam. They will also be permitted to darshan of Sri Ammavaru through the ₹100 queue line, according to a press release.
