The All Women Police, Madipakkam, on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) arrested a 60-year-old driving instructor on charges of sexually harassing a 24-year-old woman while teaching her how to ride a two-wheeler.
The suspect has been identified as Gopalakrishnan, 60, who runs a driving school in Madipakkam. According to the police, he took the woman to the Railway Station road near the Velachery railway station and sexually harassed her while teaching her how to ride a two-wheeler. As she raised an alarm, he abandoned the vehicle and fled. Based on her complaint, the police arrested him after investigation.
Meanwhile, the All Women Police, Kotturpuram, arrested a 60-year-old man on charges of sexually harassing a 17-year-old student in an MTC bus. The girl was travelling in the bus and the man, another passenger on the bus, molested her.
The girl hit him with her footwear and complained to the conductor. The bus stopped at Kotturpuram police station, and the suspect identified as Mohan, 60, was handed over to the police.
