In a security breach, a man scaled a wall of Parliament on Friday (August 22, 2025) morning but was caught by security personnel and handed over to police, official sources said.

Sources said the incident took place around 6.30 am. Further investigation is underway, they added.

According to ANI, the man reached the Garuda gate of the new Parliament building by jumping over the wall from the Rail Bhawan side.

In December 2023, coinciding with the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, two individuals jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors’ gallery during Zero Hour and released yellow gas from canisters. Six people were arrested in connection with the incident.
