SWR to run two round trips of special trains between Bengaluru and Mangaluru

Instead of running one round trip of a special train between Hubballi and Mangaluru Central via Yeswantpur, the South Western Railway has decided to operate two round trips of special trains between Yeshwantpur and Mangaluru to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganesh Chaturthi.

A release from SWR here said Train No. 06251 leaves Yeswantpur at 11.55 p.m. on August 25 to reach Mangaluru Central at 11.45 a.m. the next day. Train No. 06252 departs Mangaluru Central at 1 p.m. on August 26 to reach Yeswantpur at 10.40 p.m. the same day.

Train No. 06253 leaves Yeswantpur at 11.55 p.m. on August 26 to reach Mangaluru Central at 11.45 a.m. the next day. Train No. 06254 departs Mangaluru Central at 2.15 p.m. on August 27 to reach Yesvantpur at 11.30 p.m.

En-route the trains halt at Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantawala. They will have one AC Two-Tier, two AC Three-Tier, 12 Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van coaches.
