Vizag SEZ records exports of ₹58,565 crore in Q1 of this fiscal

Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ) recorded exports of ₹58,565 crore during the first quarter (April-June) of this fiscal year, registering a growth of 9.82% over the figures achieved in the corresponding period last financial year.

Service exports were put at ₹42,766 crore while the merchandise exports were pegged at ₹15,799 crore, said Zonal Development Commissioner Srinivas Muppaala.

The Duvvada SEZ, during the period, made exports of ₹1,834 crore, registering a growth of 156% with merchandise exports of ₹1,832 crore and service exports of ₹1.93 crore, he said, while announcing that nine (two of A.P. and seven of Telangana) new SEZ units proposals have been approved during the period.

These units will invest ₹1303.05 crore and employ 5,469 people. Overall, the VSEZ attracted investment of ₹1,26,635.46 crore and generated employment for 6,03,474 people as on March 31 2025, he said.

The two new units in Andhra Pradesh are M/s.Substrate Manufacture India Private Limited for the manufacturing of prefab structural steel members and volumetric modular pods at Duvvada, and M/s. MISO Ribbon Private Limited for the manufacturing decorative ribbons and bows in Brandix India Apparel City Private Limited.

The seven units in Telangana are M/s. Keyloop India Pvt. Limited, M/s.Goodyear Technology Center India Pvt. Limited, M/s. ANSR Global Corporation India Pvt. Limited, M/s. NeoGeo Info Technologies Pvt. Limited, M/s. Medintelx Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd., M/s. Prodevbase Technologies Pvt. Limited and M/s. MTAR Technologies Limited.
