The Vellore sub-division of district police, in association with Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre (SNHRC), has organised a free health camp for police personnel held at Police Welfare Centre in Old Town that comes under Vellore Corporation limits.

The Vellore sub-division of district police, in association with Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre (SNHRC), has organised a free health camp for police personnel at the Police Welfare Centre in Old Town that comes under Vellore Corporation limits.

According to a press release, the day-long camp, which was inaugurated by A. Mayilvaganan, SP, Vellore, provided general medical check-ups, cardiac evaluations, dental check-ups, and orthopaedic assessments, along with Siddha and Ayurveda treatments.

Free medicines and tablets were also distributed to participants. Those requiring advanced treatments were referred to Narayani Hospital, where they could avail treatment at subsidised rates through a joint initiative by Thalaimurai Peravai and Narayani Hospital. A total of 239 police personnel, including women constables, participated. Professor N. Balaji, director, SNHRC, was also present, the release said.
