A 21 year-old youth, along with four others, was arrested for allegedly abducting two youths for being friends with his lover.
The police said Kingston, 21 of Kasimedu, and his friends went to a swimming pool on Ilaya Street in New Washermenpet. On leaving the pool, the accused arrived in a car and stopped them. One Mohandoss said he wanted to talk to Kingston, and asked them to get into the car. As Kingston and his friend Rohit refused, the gang pushed them inside and took them to Kasimedu. When their friends, who had chased them, reached the spot, the gang fled.
Mohandoss, 21, Dhanushraj, 22, Saiprasanna, 21, Yadhu Krishnan, 21, and Abishek, 21, were arrested.
