Four persons, including a minor, were arrested for allegedly threatening a newlywed couple in Karaikudi.
Police said a 20-year-old woman recently had a love marriage and was residing at a house in Karaikudi. Gokul Santhosh from Vaithilingapuram allegedly shot a video of the couple in the night through a window on his mobile phone.
Following this, Hariharasudhan, a Siddha doctor from Thanthai Periyar Nagar in Karaikudi, along with Muthupandi and a 17-year-old boy, showed the video to the woman and threatened her. They also demanded ₹3 lakh and allegedly sexually harassed her.
The couple lodged a complaint with Karaikudi North Police, who registered a case and arrested Gokul Santhosh, Hariharasudhan, Muthupandi and the minor.
Further investigation is underway.
