Carbon-neutral Goshree agriculture project launched

Carbon-neutral Goshree agriculture project, an initiative aimed at a net-zero carbon footprint, has been launched in the Vypeen assembly constituency. The project, being implemented by the Agricultural department and the Goshree Islands Development Authority (GIDA), was inaugurated on Tuesday (August 26) by Mulavukad panchayat president Akbar V.S. by handing over farming kits to participating farmers.

The project has been designed to help 200 beneficiaries in the panchayat to set up vegetable and fruit home gardens. The carbon-neutral farming project is being implemented in Kadamakudy, Elankunnapuzha, Nayarambalam, Edavanakad, Njarackal, Kuzhuppilly, and Pallippuram panchayats too.
