Kerala NGO Association protests against pending DA dues

The Kozhikode district committee of the Kerala NGO Association on Tuesday (August 26) staged a protest outside the Additional Sub-Treasury office in the city against the alleged anti-employee policies of the State government.

Association district president Premnath Mangalassery said while opening the protest that the dearness allowance (DA) component of the government employees’ salary had been due for over 37 months.

Meanwhile, the government recently announced a marginal hike in the festival allowance and bonus on account of Onam. Mr. Mangalassery claimed that the pro-Left unions, which were rejoicing over this move, should make their stand clear on the pending DA dues.
