In the wake of damage caused to the Nagpur Highway (NH44) due to heavy rains, traffic diversions have been put in place to ensure public safety and to maintain smooth vehicular movement. The affected stretch lies between Kamareddy, Dichpally and Armoor, prompting the authorities to reroute vehicles through alternative roads.
According to the traffic advisory issued by the Cyberabad traffic police on Thursday (August 28, 2025), heavy vehicles travelling from Hyderabad towards Adilabad on NH44 will be diverted at Medchal Checkpost. From there, they are directed through Siddipet, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Korutla and Metpally before rejoining the highway at Armoor on the way to Adilabad. Light vehicles, on the other hand, are being diverted at Toopran, where motorists are guided towards Siddipet and Karimnagar, following the same alternate route before returning to NH44 near Armoor.
