The Bantwal Town police have booked a 13-year-old boy for allegedly misbehaving with a woman.
The police said an unidentified rider was accused of harassing a woman between 7.30 p.m. and 8 p.m., recently.
A case under Section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered.
The investigation revealed that the act was committed by a 13-year-old boy.
The police gathered evidence confirming the involvement of the boy in the incident. After questioning the boy in presence of his mother on August 26, the police produced him before the Juvenile Justice Board in Mangaluru.
The board directed the police to keep the boy in an observation home until September 2, the police said in a press release.
