Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to arrive in Kuppam on a two-day visit on Friday.
District Collector Sumit Kumar, in a release on Thursday, said that the Chief Minister was scheduled to land at Tumsipuram helipad in Shantipuram mandal on Friday late evening, and stay for the night at his residence at Kadapalle village.
On August 30, Mr. Naidu is scheduled to participate in the Ganga Harathi at Paramasamudram village and release the waters from the Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi Kuppam branch canal. The event will be followed by a public meeting. Mr, Naidu is also scheduled to meet industrialists in Kuppam, before leaving for Bengaluru airport in the evening.
Superintendent of Police Manikantha Chandolu said that heavy security measures were in place at the public meeting venue and along the routemap of the Chie Minister.
