Deputy Chief Minister and JSP president K. Pawan Kalyan attributed the party’s success to the hard work, resilience and dedication of JSP activists and Veera Mahilas.
He was speaking to around 14,000 JSP cadre from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Odisha on the third day of the ‘Sena tho Senani’ event at Indira Priyadarshini Municipal Stadium in One Town of the city on Saturday (August 30).
He announced that JSP is in the process of creating a detailed roadmap for the next decade, aimed at further strengthening its cadre. He said the party would launch ‘Trishul’ programme after Dasara with a focus on transforming grassroots activists into leaders. The programme, under the theme ‘Membership to Leadership,’ would emphasise recognition, leadership security and welfare of the cadre.
He said that as part of the programme, the JSP would establish a structured framework to recognise every diligent activist and offer them special membership under ‘Trishul. This would provide them with direct access to central leaders and the party’s main office, he explained.
“The main motto of the programme is to elevate hard-working, dedicated activists and Veera Mahilas into future leaders, as I believe leadership naturally emerges from the grassroots level,” he said.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan emphasised that JSP’s next phase would be focused on building a new generation of ethical, capable leaders. As part of the ‘Trishul’ initiative, leadership and ideological training programmes would be held to equip activists with the skills needed to become effective leaders at the mandal, district, State, and national levels.
He also assured the cadre that he would personally dedicate four hours every day to the party, underscoring his commitment to JSP’s future growth.
The Deputy CM added that he had come across articles in The Hindu on poet Gurajada Apparao and promised to renovate the poet’s house at Vizianagaram, digitalise his works and construct an auditorium on a land parcel adjacent to his house.
Veer Mahila honoured
Govindamma, a JSP Veera Mahila, who had earlier sat with her toddler opposite Hotel Novotel when JSP chief K. Pawan Kalyan was blocked from attending the Prajavani programme during 2024 under the previous YSRCP government, was honoured by the party leadership for her unwavering support during a critical moment.
As a mark of respect and recognition, she was invited to inaugurate ‘Sena tho Senani’ meeting by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Ministers Nadendla Manohar, Kandula Durgesh, MLAs, MLCs, and others were present at the event.
