RPF rescues 18 homeless persons

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Chennai Central, under Operation Dignity, conducted a special rescue drive at Central Railway Station on Monday and rescued 18 homeless persons who were in vulnerable conditions.

The rescued persons included three women, 12 men, one mentally ill and two differently-abled men.  

 The RPF said all of them were safely handed over to recognised social welfare organizations – Greater Chennai Corporation, Street Vision, and The Banyan – for further care and rehabilitation.
