Excise officials in Hyderabad seized over 1.7 kg of ganja and arrested four people in two separate raids on Tuesday, September 2.

In the first case, the State Task Force (STF) carried out a raid near the Langar Houz toddy shop and seized 1.2 kg of ganja from two men. The accused were identified as Mohammed Javed and Mohammed Musharraf. A motorbike and two mobile phones used in the illegal trade were also confiscated.

In another operation, officials from the Saroornagar Excise station recovered 520 grams of dry ganja, a ganja plant, one two-wheeler and two mobile phones. Two men were arrested in connection with the case.

The accused and the seized property from both incidents were handed over to the respective Excise stations for further investigation.
