Train services in Palakkad Division to be regulated

Several train services in the Palakkad Division will be rescheduled and regulated on multiple days in September and October owing to track maintenance works.

According to a press release, Palakkad Town-Tiruchirappalli Junction Express (Train no 16844) scheduled to leave Palakkad Town at 6.30 a.m. on September 7 will depart only at 7.50 a.m.

Mangaluru Central-Dr. MGR Chennai Central West Coast Superfast Express (22638) will be delayed by 40 minutes on September 7, 11, 14, 21, and 28, and October 5. Train no.16844 from Palakkad Town will be delayed by 30 minutes on September 15, while Coimbatore Junction-Mangaluru Central Express (16323) on the same day will be delayed by 40 minutes.

On September 17, Thiruvananthapuram Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Express (22633) will be regulated by one hour, while Alappuzha-Kannur Express (16307) and Thiruvananthpuram Central-Kannur Jan Shatabdi Superfast Express (12082) will be delayed by 40 minutes.

The Railways have advised passengers to check updates before their journey.
