A Grade I constable attached to the Neyveli Town police station has been suspended for allegedly causing the death of a pillion rider in a hit-and-run accident on the Panruti-Kumbakonam Road on August 28.
The police said Raja, who worked at the Neyveli Town police station, was driving his car on the road when he hit a two-wheeler in front of him.
