The Department of Gastroenterology at Christian Medical College (CMC) will organise an annual national conference on pancreas at its campus in Vellore on September 4.
According to a press release, the three-day conference, titled Pancreas 2025, will be attended by over 400 medical professionals. It will address treatment approaches for acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and related conditions.
The conference features 11 international speakers from leading institutions, including the University of Minnesota Medical Centre, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, University of Pittsburgh (USA), Haukeland University Hospital (Norway), Göttingen (Germany), Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine (Japan), and University Hospitals Birmingham (U.K.).
Experts from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), PGIMER Chandigarh, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Apollo Hospitals will also participate. The program covers treatment methodologies, surgical techniques, endoscopic procedures, genetic factors, and research methodologies, the release said.
