The Tamil Nadu government has announced the best police stations for 2023, selecting one for each district and one in each city. In Coimbatore city, C1 Kattoor Police Station has been chosen, while Mettupalayam Police Station in the district and Udumalpet Police Station in Tiruppur district were also recognised.
Earlier, three police stations – SS Colony PS (Madurai city), Tiruppur Town PS, and Thiruthani PS (Thiruvallur District) – had received the Chief Minister’s Trophies in Chennai during Republic Day celebrations. The Station House Officers of the newly selected units are to receive the trophies from the DGP and State police leadership on Saturday.
