VIZIANAGARAM

JNTU-GV in-charge Vice-Chancellor D. Rajya Lakshmi said meritorious engineering students with additional skills and certificate courses would continue to find job opportunities despite challenges in the IT sector. She was speaking as the chief guest at the Achievers’ Day celebrations held at Avanthi Engineering College, Cherukupally, in Vizianagaram district on Saturday.

She noted that all engineering, MBA, and pharmacy colleges affiliated to the university had been directed to upgrade infrastructure and launch new academic programmes in line with industry requirements.

Former Minister and Avanthi Group chairman Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao highlighted that 1,025 students from various Avanthi colleges in the North Andhra region had recently earned placements in reputed companies.

Mouri Tech Senior Delivery Manager G. Aravind, SIONC Pharmaceuticals Director (Operations) Subbarao Jetti, and other industry representatives also participated in the programme.
