A.P. Legislature Secretary General reviews arrangements for national meet on women empowerment

Legislature Secretary General Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara, along with District Collector S. Venkateswar and SP V. Harshavardhan Raju, on Saturday (September 6) inspected arrangements being made for the All India Conference on Parliamentary/Legislative Committees on ‘Empowerment of Women’ to be held in Tirupati on September 14-15.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Prasanna Kumar said: “Members from every State will attend the upcoming national conference. They will also discuss women’s issues at length during the two days. The officials of all departments should coordinate to make this programme a grand success.”

Mr. Venkateswar said: “Governor, Chief Minister, Speakers of the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly, Ministers, dignitaries and women representatives from all States will be attending the national conference. As part of this, the duties assigned to the officers of various departments must be carried out effectively.”

He further directed the officials to ensure that the necessary infrastructure and vehicle parking arrangements are made at the venue.
