Dr T . Narayanarao former professor of surgery at Andhra Medical College, and CMD of Narayana Medciti, delivered Dr Kompella Suryanarayana Murty oration at the All India Surgeons’ conference (AP chapter) held at the NRI Medical College, Guntur. .
The Association of Surgeons of India, AP chapter, felicitated Dr T . Narayanarao for his contributions to the field .
In this oration, Dr. Narayanarao spoke on the metabolic health risk to the entire population in the country. He emphasised the role of surgeons in prevention and treatment.
He noted that one in three individuals in India suffer from metabolic dysfunction (syndrome), with a higher prevalence among females and urban population.
