Nanguneri police have arrested two individuals for allegedly riding on the roof of a luxurious car on the Tirunelveli-Nagercoil National Highway on June 12.
Following the circulation of a social media video that two individuals were riding on a roof of a luxurious car, Nanguneri police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
It was found that Prabhu, 30 and Isakki Raja, 26 from Thoothukudi district had violated motor vehicle rules by engaging in a hazardous stunt during their journey.
Both individuals were aerated and the vehicle used in the stunt was seized.
Tirunelveli District SP N. Silambarasan warned that strict action will be taken against those violating traffic rules and indulging in dangerous acts on the road. He also urged the public to strictly follow road safety regulations and travel responsibility.
