Kolkata rape accused taken to spot to reconstruct crime scene

The Kolkata police on Friday took the four accused, arrested in connection with the gang rape of a college student, to South Calcutta Law College and reconstructed the crime scene.

According to a senior officer, it took nearly four hours to reconstruct the crime scene.

In her complaint dated June 26, the survivor had mentioned the guard’s room, a washroom, and the college union room as three different locations where the accused had interacted with, and assaulted herThe four accused — alumnus and staffer Monojit Mishra, students Pramit Mukherjee and Zaib Ahmed, and security guard Pinaki Banerjee — were taken to all these locationsas part of the probe.
