Hoax bomb threat to Raj Bhavan at Guindy

An anonymous person sent an email to the Tamil Nadu Governor’s residence- cum- office Raj Bhavan at Guindy on Wednesday claiming an explosive device was planted inside the premises and would explode shortly.

After seeing the mail, the staff immediately alerted the police. The police who, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), along with sniffer dogs and metal detectors conducted a thorough search in the premises and no explosives were found.

Guindy police registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the sender.
