A total of 14 school students suffered injuries after a speeding car hit them when they were crossing a road near Coimbatore on Thursday evening.
The police said that 12 girls and two boys, who are students of a private matriculation school near Kinathukadavu, suffered injuries in the accident.
The accident took place on Thursday evening when a group of students were crossing Coimbatore – Pollachi Road. A car driven by a 20-year-old youth hit them, when he was heading along with his father towards Pollachi side.
The students were rushed to a private hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries. The Kinathukadavu police are investigating.
