HYDERABAD
Four construction workers sustained injuries after a concrete slab gave way at a building under construction on the Anurag University campus on Saturday morning.
The workers, all natives of Odisha, were working on the 10th floor when the slab collapsed, causing them to fall to the ninth floor. The incident was reported shortly after the labourers had started their work for the day.
They sustained minor injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police said that all medical expenses are being borne by the university management. According to an officer from the Pocharam IT Corridor police, the accident involved centring workers engaged in structural work on the upper floors.
A case has been booked and an investigation is underway.
