Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday announced a three-day training programme for all legislators to familiarise them with the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), a software which is aimed at enabling paperless functioning in the Assembly.
The training will be provided to legislators from July 21-23 ahead of the Monsoon Session by trainers from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Gupta said.
âThe launch of the training centre and programme demonstrates the Delhi Legislative Assemblyâs proactive approach in aligning legislative procedures with the evolving demands of modern, accountable, and citizen-centric legislative practices,â Mr. Gupta said.
The speaker had earlier announced that the Monsoon Session of the Delhi Assembly will take place in the last week of July or the first week of August.
NeVA is a workflow system deployed on NIC Cloud, MeghRaj, which helps the chair of the House to conduct the proceedings smoothly. It will eliminate the process of sending out notices/requests for data collection. The application hosts a secure page for each member of the House for submitting questions and other notices.
The project aims to bring all the legislators of the country together on one platform, thereby creating a massive data depository without having the complexity of multiple applications.
