Six students admitted to hospital after lizard found in water in Salem

Six students, who drank water in a school were admitted to hospital after they found a lizard in the water from the tank on Friday.

Students of Panchayat Union Middle School at Poomarathupatti Muttal village near Thalaivasal drank water from the school water tank in the afternoon. At that time, a small lizard came out of the water tap. On seeing this, students alerted the teachers.

As a precautionary measure, six students, including A. Jeeva (9), J. Sachin (13), R. Kabilan (13), A. Aniya (11), M. Kanishka (6), and M. Dharshini (10), were admitted to Attur government hospital. The doctors said the students are fine. The tank was cleaned following the incident.
