The Shankar Nagar Police are searching for two persons who murdered a 24-year-old youth on Saturday.
A senior official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said Ganesan was having a live-in relationship with a woman named Bhavani in Pammal. Ganesan’s uncle Karthik came to know about this and abused him. Insulted, Ganesan picked up a quarrel with Karthik and assaulted him.
Angered by this, Karthik along with his friend Prakash took him to Mungil lake located at Kattabomman Street in Pammal, near Pallavaram, on Saturday night and murdered him. The locals alerted the Shankar Nagar police about the body who sent it to the Chromepet Government Hospital for postmortem.
