Idukki student chosen best State-level NSS VHSE volunteer

Alen J. V. of Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Thodupuzha, was chosen as the best State-level National Service Scheme (NSS) VHSE volunteer.

Alen was selected for the award for his palliative care activities and digital literacy classes in the district.

A native of Maryland in Kottayam, Alan has done over 360 hours of palliative care activities at the District Government Hospital, Thodupuzha, and digital literacy classes at 12 VHSE schools in Idukki district.

He had also organised blood donation camps, medical camps, health awareness programmes, and community awareness sessions.

Through ‘My Bharat’ portal and digital literacy initiatives, he had trained over 550 NSS volunteers in the district.
