Bomb threat mail sent to Coimbatore Collectorate turns a hoax

A bomb threat mail send to the Coimbatore Collectorate on Tuesday morning turned out to be a hoax.

On information, the Race Course police accompanied by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and sniffer dogs combed the collectorate complex.

Checks were carried out in all the buildings and the parking area in an hour-long operation.

The police are investigating into the origin of the e-mail.
