The Parawada police on Friday registered another case against G. Sridhar, a lecturer at a junior college, for allegedly misbehaving with a girl student in Anakapalli district. The case was filed following a complaint from the victim, who alleged that Sridhar had harassed her on August 23 — the same day he allegedly troubled another student.
According to the victim’s statement, Sridhar called her into the college’s Chemistry laboratory and subjected her to sexual harassment. During the investigation, based on the victim’s complaint, corroborative statements from other female students, and additional evidence, the allegations against the lecturer were substantiated. Sridhar was subsequently sent to judicial custody.
