A blood donation camp was organised on Monday (September 1) by Sankar Foundation in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS-Visakhapatnam) on the eve of the 94th birth anniversary of Atmakuri Sankar Rao at the Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital at Naidu Thota. A total of 40 employees donated blood to support patients battling chronic illnesses such as cancer, anaemia and haemophilia. Atmakuri Krishna Kumar, managing trustee and K. Radhakrishnan, general manager, commended the employees for their contribution. As part of the celebrations, a series of competitions had been held for students from various schools and colleges between August 20 and 26. The winners were presented prizes.
