The Talamadugu police on Friday seized two Disc Jockey (DJ) sound systems during the Ganesh idols immersion processions held in Sunkidi and Khodad villages in Adilabad district.
According to sources, the action was taken based on complaints over the use of the DJ systems by the organisers of two Ganesh pandals in the two villages in violation of the ban on DJs during the Ganesh idols immersion fete.
Two separate cases have been registered against the organisers as well as the operators of the DJ systems and further investigation is underway.
The aggrieved residents of Sunkidi and Khodad heaved a sigh of relief following the police crackdown on the high-decibel sound systems.
