Two youths nabbed for alleged vehicle thefts

The Palarivattom police have nabbed two youths who had been on the run after being booked in two separate cases of alleged vehicle theft. The arrested are Linson, 38, of Meladoor in Thrissur, and Shaheer, 35, of Chottanikkara, Ernakulam, the police said.

Linson, who was working as a cook at a catering firm, was accused of stealing a bike belonging to his roommate from Vennala. He was nabbed from Karunagappally in Kollam. The cases were reported in August, the police said.

In another incident, Shaheer, a private bus employee, was taken into custody near the KSRTC bus stand here on charge of stealing an autorickshaw from the parking lot of a private institution at Palarivattom. The police recovered the stolen vehicles.
