As part of the government’s efforts to establish Artificial Intelligence-based traffic management, the Visakhapatnam city police on Monday handed over equipment and patrol vehicles to its personnel at an event held on RK Beach Road and attended by Minister for Home V. Anitha as the chief guest.
On the occasion, 64 new patrol vehicles purchased by the government; two drones sponsored by the Visakhapatnam Port Authority; 200 AC helmets sponsored by the port authority and South Asia LPG Company; and two compactors sponsored by HPCL Visakh Refinery were launched.
The speciality of the drone (DJI Matrice 4T) is that it can observe large crowds at special events or celebrations and can also make loudspeaker announcements.
