Acharya Dental, a multispecialty dental practice based in Chennai, is launching the Acharya Foundation, an educational branch, dedicated to advancing dental education and improving dentistry standards through courses, hands-on sessions, access to facilities and simulation labs.
The initiative, says Varun Acharya, maxillofacial prosthodontist, Acharya Dental, is aimed at providing a serious, structured platform for advanced learning, that will focus on practical and skill-based training directly applicable to dental professionals’ practice and career. The goal is to have a one-stop ecosystem, one that allows for interaction of multiple disciplines with dentistry, including medicine, technology, design, and communication. Acharya Foundation is a partnership between Dr. Varun, and his mother, Vijailakshmi Acharya, implantologist, cosmetic dentist and endodontist at Acharya Dental.
Attendees will be offered a spectrum of courses — from advanced dental and medical ones, to leadership and communication workshops, as well as inter-disciplinary events. The Foundation also plans to host global faculty and facilitate research exchanges, Dr. Varun said. The initiative will blend live teaching and mentorship, alongside digital platforms, simulations, and self-paced modules.
The Foundation is being launched in Chennai over the weekend, August 23 and 24 and will operate out of Thirumurthy Nagar, Nungambakkam, Chennai.
