District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad announced on Saturday (August 23, 2025) that a three-day “Vizag Food Festival” will be held in the city from September 5 to 7. The event will be organised by the A.P. Tourism Department in association with other wings such as Hotels and Restaurants Association of Andhra Pradesh at MGM Grounds besides The Park Hotel on the Beach Road from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The free-entry event will have more than 30 stalls featuring North Andhra Pradesh cuisines, State, national and international flavours. There will be a contest for chefs that would be organised by Sun School, and also cultural activities to enthral the visitors. Around 15,000 to 20,000 footfall is expected each day, for which nearly ₹15 lakh will be spent including ₹5 lakh from the Tourism Department. There will be nominal charges for the stalls to be set up at the event, a wall poster of which was unveiled on Saturday.
