The Cyberabad traffic police have announced a series of traffic restrictions and diversions to be enforced between September 4 and 6 to facilitate the smooth movement of Ganesh idol immersion processions at various lakes and tanks within the commissionerate limits.

At IDL Lake, Kukatpally, the IDL Tank Road will be closed to general traffic from the IDL entrance to Rainbow Vista, with access limited to immersion vehicles. Traffic from Kukatpally Y Junction towards Madhapur via IDL Tank Road will be diverted at the IDL entrance towards JNTU, Forum Mall and then Hitech City. Vehicles from Madhapur heading to Kukatpally Y Junction will be diverted via KPHB 4th Phase Road No. 1, Remedy Hospital U-turn, and onward to the Y Junction.

In the Pragathi Nagar area, the stretch between Srinivasa Steel and Three Monkey Junction will be closed.

Vehicles from Gandimaisamma and Pragathi Nagar towards JNTU will be diverted through Nizampet, while those from JNTU towards Pragathi Nagar Colony will be rerouted via Konaseema Hotel Road and Kolan Raghava Reddy Gardens.

At Gangaram Lake in RC Puram, heavy vehicles from Patancheru will be diverted at BHEL Junction towards Tellapur and Gopanpally. Similarly, at Kattamaisamma Tank in Jeedimetla, heavy vehicles between Gandimaisamma X Road and Balanagar will be rerouted through Dulapally and JETL, while those in the opposite direction will be diverted via Suraram Village and Bowrampet.

Traffic curbs will also apply around Pathikunta Tank, Rajendranagar, where the road from Budwel Extension to Himayatsagar Tollgate will be closed. Traffic between Gachibowli, Aramghar and L.B. Nagar will be diverted through Himayatsagar, Chennamma Hotel, HUDA Colony, Gaganpahad and Kattedan.

The traffic police have appealed to the public to cooperate during the immersion period and plan their travel in advance.
