In a freak accident, a youth fell off an amusement ride at the Government Boys School ground in Thripunithura on Monday night amid Onam celebrations.
Vishnu, 33, of Thekkinbhagom, Thripunithura fell from a height of nearly 15 feet off a pirate ship ride which was swinging back and forth, according to a staff at a city hospital where he was rushed to following the accident.
The youth was being subjected to medical examinations including CT scan. The accident took place around 10 p.m. on Monday night. The ride was set up on the ground as part of the ongoing Athachamayam celebrations during the Onam season.
